Leadership Team
The Founders and visionary of GTMI Church are Pastor Fikadu and Tiru Tegegne. Pastor Fikadu was converted in 1992 in the town of Awassa, southern Ethiopia while working as a civil servant in the Agricultural Department. He was trained as a geologist and got his BSc degree from Addis Ababa University in 1991. Before he was called to the ministry he worked as a hydrogeologist in the study and supervision of water supply systems.
While he was in the University of Manchester in 1998 doing his masters degree in Development management, he strongly felt the call of God in his life as a full time minister. With out hesitation he responded to the call of God. He spent about a year in preparation through prayer and studying the word of God and has been in the full time ministry since then.
He worked as a full time minister in the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church in London and has impacted upon many with his love of God and been used by God to make a difference in people’s life. He has been trained as a Christian counsellor by a divine guidance from which the lessons he learnt are very helpful in his day to day pastoral work now. He is a very good communicator, teacher and a servant leader who always gives glory to God for his achievements in life. At the same time as pastoring GTMI Church he recently completed his MSc degree in Engineering Geology from University of Portsmouth. He is the husband of a wonderful wife who is equally committed to the work of God and father of two Sons Natinael and Samuel.
The Founders and visionary are supported by a board of Advisors, deacons and a number of ministry team leaders.
